Construction of Edgewood 145′ Mono Pine Commences

Press Release: 10/04/18

Construction of the 145’ Mono Pine is taking shape on Edgewood Golf Course in South Lake Tahoe. As part of a Digitechx planned community solution in the basin of South Lake Tahoe, the final pieces are coming together. With leases in place with 2 carriers and a 3rd in negotiations, this site will serve as not only a macro solution to fill in the gaps in coverage in SLT, but also as a CRAN site for at least 2 carriers of the carriers.

While the TRPA (Tahoe Regional Planning Agency) and regulatory approval ended up being a heavier entitlement lift than originally anticipated, it was finally brought it fruition through a united community team effort. This effort was made possible in large measure by overwhelming support from Fire, Police, and First responders, UNR’s Alert Tahoe Wildland Fire Monitoring Program and the South Shore business community. Feldman-McLaughlin-Thiel did a great job navigating the complicated political regulatory waters of the TRPA.   Further, Welsh-Hagen and Design Workshop’s exhausting work on visual simulations provided TRPA staff confidence that the scenic horizons would not suffer any detrimental impact. And finally, the consistent support from AT&T and Verizon, along with their site acquisition teams made this entire effort possible through their on-going partnership interest and technical support.

Through our initiatives in the area for CRAN, In-building DAS, ERRCS systems in 3 properties and the implementation of the macro site, South Lake Tahoe residents and guests can enjoy better coverage, greater capacity, increased public safety and increased fire prevention.

This is an example of Digitechx’s core competency and commitment to provide In-Building DAS and Turnkey Community Solutions.
